LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers.

The following vacancy has arisen within the Fundraising Department who play a significant part in raising over £6 million each year through voluntary income.

Supporter Engagement Co-Ordinator (Young People) Salary range £20,000 to £25,000 per annum (depending upon experience) 37.5 hours per week 

LOROS is a much-loved charity with a broad supporter base; we pride ourselves on creating meaningful, life-long relationships with supporters of all ages. With a focus on individuals, organisations, clubs and educational facilities across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. LOROS is now looking for an energetic, fun and positive, ‘people-person’ to join our Supporter Engagement Team and work specifically with young people. As a Supporter Engagement Co-Ordinator you’ll provide the motivation, inspiration, encouragement and support that our young fundraisers and volunteers need to enjoy their fundraising and raise as much as possible. You will be pro-active in generating new contacts and building long-term relationships with individuals, groups and organisations. Throughout 2021 you will be instrumental in delivering the Rocket Round Leicester (RRL) Learning Programme which has been specifically developed for schools, colleges and community groups. The RRL Learning Programme is a ‘launch pad’ for the Supporter Engagement Co-Ordinator to build relationships and create lasting legacies As a member of the Supporter Engagement Team and wider Fundraising Department, you will be actively involved in the planning and delivery of Supporter Engagement Events and Campaigns as well as awareness raising activities such as delivering talks, presentations, arranging, and carrying out tours of the Hospice to visitors. The ideal applicant will be passionate and committed with a great work ethic. The applicant will be willing and able to work long hours over weekend and evenings. Due to the nature of the role you should have access to transport.
