Corporate Business Development Manager, Corporate Partnerships
Permanent, plus benefits 
£31,500 - £39,000 per annum depending on location and experience
Flexible Location: Home Based or Dual London/Home Based

Macmillan’s fundraising income has been impacted heavily by the pandemic. Now is a critical time for us to build our portfolio of corporate partners, so that we can continue to provide support to the millions of people who need us now, and in the future.

About the role
Macmillan has one of the largest and most successful corporate partnerships teams in the sector and we have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Corporate Business Development team.

In this role, you will proactively develop and secure a pipeline of high value, multifaceted commercial and strategic partnerships to deliver income and impact for people living with cancer. As a technical expert you will use your skills and experience to create compelling propositions, lead negotiations and pitch processes to secure long-term partnerships valued in excess of £100,000 per annum.  This is an exciting role that involves working with a wide range of senior stakeholders, both in our head office and across the country to identify new opportunities and win new business.

About you

You have a track record in securing partnerships with companies circa £100,000

You are an experienced business development professional with proven commercial acumen in the charity or private sector, who has transferable skills and knowledge, which include:

  • Commercial understanding and cross sector business knowledge
  • Expert sales and negotiation skills
  • Experience of corporate fundraising 
  • Evidence of successful acquisition of new corporate partnerships
  • Experience of establishing effective relationships at the most senior levels within large, commercial organisations
  • Target driven, proactive and creative in developing tailor made proposals to meet corporate objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
