About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing Macmillan’s influencing strategy for the coming years, making it suitable and relevant to the likely influencing landscape of the future and the future needs of people living with cancer. You will then drive Macmillan’s influencing work across the UK’s four nations through policy development, public affairs activity and campaigning, always ensuing that this is supported by sound evidence, is proportionate and targeted. You will lead a well-known and well-respected Policy, Campaigns and Influencing department of 40 through its next stage of development.
You have substantial experience of working within a leadership role in a public affairs, policy or campaigning environment. You have a proven track record of building influencing strategies and experience of involving users of services in the development and implementation of policy work and campaigning. You have successfully delivered influencing work in the UK, which has resulted in change to policy or legislation.
