Would you like to play a key role in securing multi-million pounds of legacy income for one of the UK’s leading charities? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
At Macmillan, Legacy accounts for more than a third of our income. As a result of the pandemic, now is a critical time for us to maximise opportunities in legacy gifts, so that we can continue to deliver the great work we do, supporting millions of people living with cancer now and in the future.
As Legacy Manager, you will be part of a team administering 1,350 legacies a year, ensuring we have received and accounted for all the funds for each legacy. You will manage valuations and identify opportunities for Macmillan to maximise estate value. Working closely with executors and families, you will provide advice and guidance on compliance, going the extra mile to ensure they receive an excellent service in a considerate, respectful way. With a solution-focused approach, you will identify and resolve complex case management issues and processes, liaising with external solicitors.
You will have proven experience in charity legacy administration and case management, and/or estate administration in the private sector. You have experience working within legacies or trusts with a solid understanding of contentious and non-contentious probate law. You can demonstrate outstanding customer service and strong relationship building skills. You have up to date knowledge of data protection law and have excellent IT skills.
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest and most loved charities in the UK. We support millions of people living with cancer in the UK live life as fully as they can by providing emotional, practical and financial support.
