About the role
This role sits within the Planning and Performance team within Cancer Support Operations (CSO). CSO supports people living with cancer through our Direct Services offer and through UKP Partnerships working principally with the NHS.
Working with the Direct Services Senior Leadership Team, you’ll help them develop and build their long-term and 12 month rolling plan to deliver support directly to people living with cancer, ensuring that it is aligned to Macmillan's strategic objectives, integrated with the wider CSO plan and is achievable.
Working with the wider Planning & Performance Team you’ll contribute to making sure that the planning processes are efficient, easy to maintain, and that both our planning tools and capability continue to evolve. In addition you will have a wider responsibility for risk management and compliance across CSO. Supported by the risk community you'll ensure identification and mitigation of risks to safeguard Macmillan's reputation.
You’ll have excellent people skills and experience working at a senior level, the ability to operate as a business partner, building rapport remotely whilst working in an agile way. You’ll have experience of leading on planning in a complex environment and translating goals and activities into operational templates. In addition you'll be familiar with risk management processes and tools.
We help millions of people with cancer across the UK live life as fully as they can through physical, emotional and financial support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.
