The Virgin Money London Marathon is the biggest event in the Fundraising calendar and we're looking for an experienced Challenge Events Manager to lead our project team for 2020 and 2021.
As a leading charity in the Virgin Money London Marathon, we have an ambitious strategy to excel income growth over the next two years. This exciting and high-profile opportunity, both within Macmillan and across the sector, will be responsible for leading an internal project team to achieve our ambitious goals and raise over £5million across the 2020 and 2021 events and associated campaigns.
We are looking for an expert in the challenge events fundraising market, ideally with direct Virgin Money London Marathon experience, and a proven track record of delivering results and growing income.
You need to demonstrate strong relationship management skills to engage the whole organisation, keep senior management updated and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to lead an effective project team, inspire and encourage collaboration and be confident in decision making.
The role requires a strategic and creative thinker who can maximise opportunities. You will have experience in developing successful marketing plans and delivering events to a high standard. You will demonstrate a passion for putting the supporter at the heart of all you do which is evident in the supporter journey you deliver.
A fast-paced role, we are looking for someone who will thrive on a busy workload and can prioritise effectively. With an ambitious, short-term target, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and be able to make an impact quickly.
