Job description

Senior Marketing Manager
Permanent

Full-time, 34.5 hours per week
London/Home
£47,059.00 per annum (London)

Please note this role is currently remote. Once we return to the office the role will be based both at home and in our London office.

Would you like to join one of the most exciting fundraising marketing teams in the sector? Would you like your work to contribute to supporting millions of people living with cancer? Then we’d love to hear from you.

At Macmillan, we are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success. Macmillan offers a high degree of flexibility around ways of working, for example, this role is ‘dual location’ – meaning someone could work between 1 and 4 days a week in the office in Vauxhall, and the rest at home – and we have flexible start and finish times. We are committed to ensuring our roles are accessible to candidates who may have mobility needs or caring responsibilities, so we would welcome a discussion about how we can support you.

We would particularly welcome applications from disabled candidates or people who identify as having a health condition and candidates who identify as Black or Asian or another minority ethnicity.

About the role

You will lead a direct team of five that inspires individuals to support Macmillan, managing seven figure income and expenditure budgets and generating vital income. As a charity Macmillan relies on supporters for 98% of our income. Without them, we couldn't provide any of our services for people with cancer.

You will play an integral role in shaping the future of our National Marketing (Fundraising) portfolio. You will design the product plans and strategies that define our Brave the Shave event and our individual giving programme. This is a great opportunity to deliver sector leading marketing experiences in a competitive market with a brilliant, collaborative team around you. We look forward to welcoming you.

Please refer to the role profile for further details.

About you

You are an experienced direct response marketer, always looking for ways to improve the status quo. You are an inspiring leader who actively develops your team. You are passionate about building products that reflect a modern and diverse UK.

Your previous experience will have been in direct response marketing, but this does not need to have been within the charity sector. You love producing great marketing that drives response.

Please refer to the role profile for further details.

What we offer

And what do we do for you in return? Working alongside a dynamic and innovative team, we commit to actively developing you, your fundraising and marketing knowledge, and offer competitive benefits.  You can find more information regarding our benefits on the document below.
