Would you like to join our team developing and delivering Macmillan Cancer Support’s organisation-wide Thanking and Recognition strategy and launching innovative new Other Ways to Give fundraising opportunities?

About us
At Macmillan Cancer Support we help millions of people with cancer across the UK live life as fully as they can through physical, emotional and financial support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. Together, we do whatever it takes for people living with cancer; with heart, with strength and with ambition.

About the role
As part of the Fundraising Stewardship and Development department you will actively contribute to the development and delivery of thanking and recognition opportunities for some of Macmillan’s highest value and most loyal supporters, from supporting with the delivery of our annual ‘Thanking Day’ to developing impact reporting resources.

The role will also enable Macmillan to unlock new sources of income from a series of non-financial asks, such as recycling or supporting Macmillan through everyday activities like internet browsing and online shopping.

About you
We are looking for a candidate who is confident and motivated to help develop the opportunities, tools and resources to enable Macmillan’s fundraising teams to deliver great supporter experiences and outcomes for Macmillan. A creative mindset and passion for continuous improvement is a must!

Our ideal candidate will have a fundraising background or relevant transferable skills and will have experience of working with a large customer or supporter base.  You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. If you have a strong track record of taking ownership of and delivering on complex projects we would love to hear from you.

What we can offer you

In return for your commitment we will actively develop your skills.  Our benefits include a 34.5-hour week (with an early finish on Fridays), private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, generous annual leave and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
