Volunteering Services Coordinator - Sussex, Kent & Surrey
Fixed Term (12 Months)
£21,500 - £25,000

The role will involve travel throughout Kent, Surrey, Sussex, primarily concentrated in Sussex where we have existing volunteering services. Some evening and out-of-hours work will also be required.

You’ll support volunteering in South East England through recruitment, training, development of and maintaining volunteers to deliver Macmillan volunteering priorities. Working with colleagues in service teams and pilot programmes, your role is crucial to enhancing the quality of Macmillan volunteering services and the Macmillan experience. 

You will be responsible for raising awareness of volunteering services for people affected by cancer in local communities. You will support Lead Volunteers and volunteers to deliver services to people affected by cancer and to signpost to relevant additional support.

It's particularly important that you demonstrate knowledge of national standards, policies, and procedures relevant to this role including safeguarding and risk assessment processes and experience of coordinating and delivering community based volunteer led services to vulnerable people. A rounded understanding of volunteering in its widest sense is essential.
