Job description

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. As part of this mission, the Project Management team works to develop, deliver and oversee projects that meet our charitable objectives, largely around fuelling children for learning, and operating responsibly, effectively and efficiently.


The role of the Gifts In Kind Project Manager is a new role to lead on improving the breakfast offer to Magic Breakfast partner schools and to help to secure thousands of pounds of Gift in Kind (GIK) donations to enable our charity to feed more hungry children a nutritious breakfast.


The post-holder will work directly with Magic Breakfast’s Corporate Fundraising, Logistics and Schools Teams to ensure that GIK opportunities are strategically identified, researched, trialled and distributed effectively and efficiently, meeting the needs of our partner schools and children. The post-holder may also liaise with Magic Breakfast’s corporate donors, suppliers and schools.


The post-holder will also plan and deliver the ‘ideal breakfast’ project in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, including the University of Leeds. This project will identify the best nutritionally-balanced breakfast provision that Magic Breakfast can offer to our schools, which is cost-effective, deliverable via our third-party logistics suppliers, easily implementable by our partner schools, and appeals to children.


The post-holder will need to become familiar with Magic Breakfast’s vision, values, objectives, practices and procedures.
