Digital Marketing Officer
Salary: £30k pro rata (0.8 FTE/4 days 1 year contract)
Closing Date: 6th October 2019
Its loud and confusing out there in the digital landscape but you’ll help us cut through the noise to find the right people and share the right messages with them.
We need people to understand our different offers and opportunities to drive up engagement, sign ups and income. This could range from encouraging people to sign up for gifts in wills through to taking part in our high-profile challenge events, joining one of our special events or even just wanting to hear more about wishes. To help us with this task, you’ll use your skills with digital inbound and lead generation and craft ninja email campaigns that help drive action.
Working closely with the marketing team and our fundraising colleagues, you’ll help us craft and deliver outstanding results from campaigns and build awesome customer journeys that help us convert. You’ll work closely with colleagues who also create content and administer other advertising and social plans to make sure our audience plans are integrated.
More widely, you’ll oversee our email marketing tool (Campaign Monitor) to use and grow the ways in which we use this as part of our engagement journeys, supporting others to understand and use the tool effectively for their audiences.
This is a new role that will support us to target new audiences for key activities and as we look towards a better integrated market-oriented approach to our work. We’re at an exciting time of change in the organisation. This change is fast paced, and mission driven – we simply want to support more children and their families.
To succeed with us, you’ll need experience of driving income and engagement from digital and email – inbound, lead generation, funnels and pipeline will be words that are a part of your mantra, and you’ll help us to understand and adopt them.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of building multi-channel journey experiences and of using CRM (we use Salesforce and Donorflex), as well as a wide range of other digital tools, and you will understand how to use your tools and data to build conversion funnels and pipelines.
Hours: This role is a 1-year contract and 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE). We can agree this work pattern to suit the needs of the business and your commitments. As well as being part time, as an organisation, we offer agile working options
