Salary Circa £50k Pro rata 

Hours – Part time – 3 to 4 days a week (22.5 to 30 hours a week)

We are looking for a CCAB / CIMA qualified Financial Controller, with significant experience in the Not for Profit sector,  to join our dynamic finance team in Reading. 

As our successful candidate, you will have excellent communication skills as well as a strong customer focus and the ability to build relationships across the wider organisation.  You will be passionate about the sector we operate in, and want to work in an organisation that delivers amazing wishes to children with life changing illnesses. 

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work pro-actively with budget holders and the leadership team to actively contribute to the delivery of the Charity’s strategy.   Ensuring that financial records, controls and reporting are maintained for Make-A-Wish and its trading subsidiary is core to this role, as is managing and supporting the finance team.

This role has responsibility for managing the forecasting and budgeting processes, preparing annual statutory accounts and managing year-end; providing variance analysis and reports to our Trustees and committees as required.
