As the Administration and Liaison Officer you will be the primary point of contact and the face of the Rugby foodbank for all stakeholders. You will need to have excellent administration and communication skills as you will be our contact point for volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies, food and financial donors. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, you will guide the development of the foodbank project including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body.
Your key skills will be effective communication and the ability to work with all types of people from every kind of background. You will engage with volunteers, clients, Trustees and external agencies such as statutory agencies, churches, schools and businesses to maximise engagement. You will need to be a flexible team member with the ability to balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team.
Our stakeholders are primarily our volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies including statutory and community groups, food and financial donors from the community including churches and other faith groups, schools, other charities and businesses, our Trustees and staff.

Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 6000 food parcels at our Foodbank. Our staff and more than 80 volunteers are crucial to making this happen. Rugby foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbank and operates within their operating model. The charity is founded on Christian principles and works to address homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background. Hope4 is the overarching charity name overseeing all operations of the Hope Centre and Rugby Foodbank.

Job title: Programme Officer
Salary: £34,042 per annum
Location: London, E1 (Hybrid working)
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week
Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting for a Programme Officer, who will work closely with the Senior Programme Manager (SPM) to support excellent stakeholder relationship management on strategic projects led by the SPM (including with programme funders, and partners such as Fairtrade Africa), and act as the main programme liaison on a day-to-day basis for smaller projects.
You’ll need to have excellent attention-to-detail, be financially literate and be a clear, adaptable communicator. You will have experience of managing projects and budgets or supporting others to manage projects and budgets. If you have specific experience with international development projects, that’s great, but it’s not essential.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in researching and applying to grant applications in order to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.
About the role:
As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from Trusts and Foundations in order to support SHP’s charitable activities. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.
In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful Trusts and Foundations portfolio by focusing on:
- Maximising income from grant-giving organisations to ensure sustainable growth of restricted and unrestricted fundraising.
- Working strategically to build high-impact, high-value relationships with grant funders as well as managing relationships with existing donors.
- Collaborating with teams across the organisation to create compelling fundraising proposals and produce high-quality reports and budgets.
- Proactively maintaining excellent knowledge of Trusts and Statutory fundraising practices in the sector.
Please note the role will follow a hybrid working model, with some days working in our head office in Kings Cross, with ample opportunity to work from home.
About you:
- Highly numerate and attentive to detail, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven and able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Experience of writing bids or applications including any key successes.
- Experience working with other internal departments to maximise collaboration and impact between the teams.
- Experience building and managing relationships with external funders, including in depth research of funders.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage the Executive Director’s diary, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with
colleagues to align diaries, and prioritising tasks in line with strategic priorities.
· Represent the Executive Director and OIN by greeting visitors, handling phone calls, and
managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage key reporting processes, including receiving, approving, distributing reports, and
filing them accurately.
· Attend and minute meetings, both internal and external.
· Support the Executive Director in producing high-quality materials such as presentations,
documents, and reports, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
· Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for the Executive Director.
· Manage expenses and financial records for the Executive Director.
· Assist in the preparation of proposals, applications, and reports, providing administrative
support as needed.
· Support the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with donors, partners, and
stakeholders..
· Conduct research and gather information on relevant topics as requested.
· Facilitate internal communications within the organisation, including disseminating
information, coordinating team meetings, and maintaining communication channels.
· Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism,
maintaining confidentiality at all times.
· Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or senior management
team.
