The organisation ensures that London’s most vulnerable people have meaningful choice and control over what happens in their lives. They support people living with mental health conditions, eating disorders, learning disabilities, and dementia. They work with all age groups, including children and young people, adults, and older people. Their services include one-to-one advocacy, group advocacy, and user involvement and engagement.

This role is offered on a flexible, part-time (0.8 FTE) permanent contract, with a salary of £49,200–£53,300 per annum (pro rata), alongside flexible remote working arrangements between home and their London sites.

As part of the senior leadership team, the post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering an income generation strategy and achieving income growth across multiple streams, including commercial income, grants, and statutory funding. They will be hands-on, actively engaging in applications, prospecting, communication, and developing new income opportunities. They will build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and service users, and will have the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and develop external partnerships. The post holder will also develop evidence-based, impact-led cases for support across a range of projects.

They are seeking someone with demonstrable experience of delivering impactful charitable fundraising across diverse income streams, particularly from trusts and foundations. Candidates should have proven experience in developing pipelines, bid writing, and a track record of securing significant funding. The ideal candidate will also have experience in designing and delivering commercial income streams, including business-to-business and direct-to-consumer products.

About the Role

Who are we looking for?

This role is about both growing and people. Growing-wise, you will be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about growing a range of vegetable and fruit crops on at least a smallholding scale. Our ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of organic growing and/or some experience of it. In addition to good knowledge and experience of growing, we’re looking for someone who thrives on enabling and supporting others with a range of skills and abilities to learn and develop. You must be able to build genuine connections with the people you work alongside, be able to think holistically about people and take responsibility for the team’s welfare whilst at work. Finally, the responsibilities of this role need you to have excellent organisation skills, an understanding of, and ability to ensure, that documents and records are completed using our IT system, and supportive people management skills.

About the Role

We are excited to recruit a PCN Cancer Care Coordinator to support people living with cancer across the Clifton and The Meadows Primary Care Network in Nottingham.

This role is central to delivering a holistic, person‑centred cancer care coordination service, supporting patients beyond clinical treatment and ensuring their wider emotional, practical and social needs are met. Working closely with GP practices, Primary Care Network colleagues, and the voluntary and community sector, you will help improve experiences and outcomes for people affected by cancer.

You will work in direct partnership with Self Help UK’s Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Service, carrying out Cancer Care Reviews and Holistic Needs Assessments (eHNA), developing care and support plans, and helping people to access the right support at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting people newly diagnosed with cancer through Cancer Care Reviews and eHNAs
• Creating individualised care and support plans based on each person’s needs
• Acting as a single point of access for non‑clinical cancer support
• Referring and signposting patients to appropriate voluntary and community services
• Working closely with GP practices to ensure reviews are recorded on NHS systems
• Supporting work to increase cancer screening uptake, especially within targeted communities
• Building strong relationships across health, social care and the voluntary sector
• Ensuring safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld

You’ll work flexibly across GP practices, community settings, patients’ homes and the Self Help UK office in Nottingham, with some home working available.

DRIVE - IDVA Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

The DRIVE IDVA Role and Key Responsibilities

The Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate (IDVA) plays a critical safeguarding role within the Drive Project, providing specialist, survivor-centred advocacy, safety planning and risk management for victims and survivors linked to Drive cases. The role ensures that survivors’ voices, safety, and well-being remain central to system decision-making throughout the Drive intervention.

The role is positioned to work with victims/survivors of domestic abuse; providing specialist support to victims of high-risk, serial, or high-harm domestic abuse perpetrators who are managed by the Drive Project.

DRIVE IDVA’s provide ongoing recovery support to clients for up to 12 months.

• The role requires the successful candidate to;
• Proactively engage with victim/survivors to build bespoke safety plans, including security measures to increase their immediate and long-term safety.
• Act as the crucial link between the perpetrator’s case manager and the victim/survivor to provide current updates and inform disruptive interventions (e.g., police action, bail conditions).
• Conduct regular risk assessments to monitor changes in the perpetrator's behaviour and reduce the risk of harm to the victim/survivor and any children.
• Represent the victim/survivors’ needs in multi-agency meetings (such as MARAC and DAPP), ensuring a coordinated approach between police, social services, housing, and health.
• Serve as the main contact point for victim/survivors to provide consistent support, information and advocacy throughout the intervention process.
• Support victim/survivors through the legal, criminal or civil justice systems. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and clearance.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on victims, children, and families.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning, and risk management within domestic abuse services.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities relating to children and vulnerable adults.
• Experience of providing direct support to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable groups.
• Experience working within multi-agency partnerships and legislative frameworks.
• Experience using SafeLives DASH risk assessment tools.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and prioritise competing demands effectively.
• Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, advocacy, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

You will work closely alongside the refuges Team Leader and Service Manager to implement and deliver a trauma informed approach to refuge services. The Union of Students are looking for a Payroll Senior Coordinator to assist the Head of Finance in the smooth running of the Union Finance Department. They will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, helping to maintain precise financial records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll regulations. This role involves collaborating with the Human Resources team to manage employee data and contribute to the smooth operation of the wider finance team. The post holder will assist in the preparation of accurate and timely Financial Management accounts and oversee the Sales Ledger and Finance Coordinator role ensuring that the sales ledger invoices are accurate and income is received. They will pay attention to detail and can work in a busy environment and to tight deadlines. It is expected that they will provide cover for the finance team in periods of absence as other team members would be expected to provide cover for this role under the same circumstances. As a member of the Union of Students the post holder will contribute to and support the delivery of our Strategic Plan.

Main Responsibilities

Payroll Management

• Manage end-to-end administration of permanent and student payrolls using SAGE.
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC, pension and statutory requirements.
• Process monthly and four‑weekly payrolls, including timesheets, holiday pay and accruals.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, cost centre allocations and control account reconciliations.
