Caseworker
Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.
This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.
This will be a fixed term contract till 31 July 2024.
Role Overview:
For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.
The successful applicant will be providing activities and support to clients within a formal contractual framework working to challenging targets.The role holder will need a strong beneficiary focus and the ability to rapidly form relationships with partners and local agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with partners to identify and engage veterans with the CFO Programme.
- Undertake needs assessments with each veteran and jointly develop their support plan.
- Work as part of a team, together with Probation Service Staff and Lead Provider staff, was well as partner organisations providing specialist support.
- Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for each individual as required.
- Work with the veteran to secure employment.
- Optimise the delivery of activities which are separately billed as part of CFO Programme.
- Ensure that all activity is recorded on the MOJ CATs system, or other system as required by the contract.
- Deliver any further activities reasonably required by the Op Nova National Manager or CFO Contract Manager, the Nova National Manager and the Forces Employment Charity.
Essential Competencies:
- Understanding, empathy and knowledge of ex-forces personnel and the challenges they may face.
- Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely from their line manager.
- Resilient and able to work with individuals with complex needs and cope with the rigors that arise from working with veterans in the criminal justice system.
- Commitment to working with each veteran without prejudice and in an equitable manner, including those who are arrested for violent or sexual offences.
- Experience of working with people using a mentoring or coaching approach to engage and support the individuals we work with change their lives.
- Experience of working with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, organisation and IT/CRM skills.
- Excellent team players who will contribute to a diverse and dedicated team.
- Driving licence and use of own car.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (Enhanced) check and Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 2 security clearance.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Programme Manager at Talent Spaces & Upskill Me, you will play a vital role in supporting the Programmes Lead in the successful delivery of our flagship STEM programme, career events and employability programmes. We are looking to fill two roles one will have specific focus on leading on our social mobility Industry Societies programmes and one role will focus on our STEM events and programmes. As a small team we do however expect team members to work in collaboration across all our programmes and events.
Your focus will be on managing day-to-day programme activities, coordinating workshops and events, and providing direct support to participants. It will include everything from student recruitment & onboarding, liaising with clients & volunteers through to delivery and gaining feedback. Your role will contribute directly to the effective implementation of the programmes & events, ensuring the impact on the growth and development of young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Delivery:
- Recruiting & onboarding and screening students to our programmes & events
- Co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of employability programmes & events, ensuring they align with programme schedules and objectives.
- Facilitate and lead workshop sessions, events, and mentoring activities for participants, creating a positive and engaging environment.
- Prepared for occasional travel within the South, Midlands and North of England during programme delivery periods (expenses paid)

Impact Reporting:
- Drive, gather & collate data for impact reports, ensuring relevant evaluations are completed pre and post programme/event and providing relevant information to support programme evaluation.
- Collaborating with the Programme Lead to analyse results and identify areas for improvement and supporting in creating impact summaries for clients.
Participant Engagement:
- Cultivate positive relationships with programme participants, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Respond to participant inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of participant satisfaction.
- Classroom management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including schools and external partners, and our clients to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Ensure clear and timely communications with clients to ensure they are supported throughout the programme and ensuring smooth programme delivery.
- Support the Account manager in maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Liaise with external venues to ensure adequate provisions for engaging and successful events/programmes.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience and attributes:
- Prior experience in coordinating & facilitating programme delivery or similar responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of programme management principles and impact reporting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, good attention to detail.

As the Administration and Liaison Officer you will be the primary point of contact and the face of the Rugby foodbank for all stakeholders. You will need to have excellent administration and communication skills as you will be our contact point for volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies, food and financial donors. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, you will guide the development of the foodbank project including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body.

You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 16. You will primarily work with low-medium risk clients. About You:
To be a Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will:
Have a thorough understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on women, children, families and communities. Experienced of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour’-based violence. Experience of crisis management and successfully managing a busy and complex caseload and experience of risk and needs assessment and safety and support planning, particularly with clients with complex/multiple needs.
