Caseworker

Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.

This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.

This will be a fixed term contract till 31 July 2024.

For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.

The successful applicant will be providing activities and support to clients within a formal contractual framework working to challenging targets.The role holder will need a strong beneficiary focus and the ability to rapidly form relationships with partners and local agencies.

​Key Responsibilities:

​

• Work with partners to identify and engage veterans with the CFO Programme.
• Undertake needs assessments with each veteran and jointly develop their support plan.
• Work as part of a team, together with Probation Service Staff and Lead Provider staff, was well as partner organisations providing specialist support.
• Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for each individual as required.
• Work with the veteran to secure employment.
• Optimise the delivery of activities which are separately billed as part of CFO Programme.
• Ensure that all activity is recorded on the MOJ CATs system, or other system as required by the contract.
• Deliver any further activities reasonably required by the Op Nova National Manager or CFO Contract Manager, the Nova National Manager and the Forces Employment Charity.

Swindon’s welcome, accessible space in the heart of the town is looking for two Hub Coordinators - to help us grow, build and do more: by and with the community.

You’ll be working with a dynamic group of volunteers and visitors, helping to keep the Hub running day-to-day, as well as taking on a special focus of your own.

One special focus will be reaching out and drawing in: connecting with communities, groups and people around Swindon who are not using the Hub; building relationships, working in partnership and organising events and activities to see that the Hub is as inclusive and diverse as it can be.

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.

You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.

We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. Also someone with great communication and relationship management skills who has experience of managing volunteers at all stages of their volunteer journey.   

There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:

• Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.
• Help participants to connect with nature and socialise with others to feel happier, less anxious and less isolated.
• Support participants to access other beneficial services, where appropriate, including health, social and financial.
• Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.
• Facilitate a positive journey through the service for participants to ensure as many people as possible can access the service.

The role 

The roles has four main areas of work:

1. Leadership and management:

• Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals. 
• Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
• Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
• Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.

2. Project management: 

• Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders. 
• Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
• Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
• Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed. 
• Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
• Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact. 

3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green: 

• Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project. 
• Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
• Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed. 

4. Other: 

• Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required. 
• Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

· Bringing together the network of Local Hubs, Local Dyslexia Associations and other member organisations - enabling them to share good practice, access training and peer support between volunteers. 

· Create and maintain an internal engagement plan that supports the BDA to increase impact and reach through our work with communities, including best practice guidance and tools.

The NI is looking for its next Events Officer to oversee the setting up and online booking of a range of events – mainly conferences and dinners – as well as overseeing the subscriptions to its Journal. The role is a busy one and the person recruited with require good experience with events booking CRMs as well as working with volunteers and other team members in a small team.

Responsibilities

Main duties include:

Manage all event bookings administration, including:

o Set up of online booking for events through CRM

o Set up and maintain webpages for each event through CMS adding sponsor logos and additional information as required.

o Ensuring invoices for events are issued and paid, updating any on CRM that were issued manually including sponsorship events

o Ensuring relevant communications such as joining instructions are circulated to attendees

o Issue sponsorship contracts, invoices and monitor payments of same

o Providing support for delivery of events including producing delegate lists, dietary requirements etc

o Liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure all events run smoothly.

Manage the admin and event email inboxes, answering all queries in a timely and professional fashion; forwarding queries to colleagues as appropriate where outside your area of expertise.

Assist in maintaining the CRM to ensure data quality eg by removing duplicates, amending incorrect details, updating information and resolving login issues.

Work closely with the Branch Representatives and the Marketing and Communications Manager to set up all events including paid-for and free-to-attend, plus any external suppliers where necessary.

These roles will develop new Sheds across the East Midlands and North of England., coordinate and manage partnerships with other organisations and charities to support the growth and development of the movement.  This role has the focus to support the growth of new and development of new Men’s Sheds, enhancing our reach and the reach of Sheds.  Our partnerships underpin the development programmes for the charity. 

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual who can take on the role of Fundraising Partnerships Manager.

Hours of Work: 30 to 37.5 hours
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience

Air Ambulances UK 
Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) is the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s air ambulance charities, enabling them to save even more lives every day.

Purpose of Post 
The Fundraising Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing and account managing national corporate partnerships, and national trusts and foundations to help air ambulance charities save even more lives across the UK.

• Provide exceptional account management.
• Develop high quality funding proposals.
• Support new business development, identifying and securing new national partnerships and grants in collaboration with the air ambulance community.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management

• To provide exceptional account management to ensure partners meet agreed income and engagement targets and other key objectives.
• Develop and deliver robust national partnership plans, maximise income generation and provide strategic direction to maximise growth within each account.
• Generate income from national partners - including employee fundraising, sponsorship, and cause related marketing.
• To deliver a calendar of key corporate fundraising events, promoting campaigns to national partners and building engagement with them and their audiences.
• To attend partnership meetings, communicate and deliver presentations to staff at all levels.
• Manage and organise the production of compelling materials for bespoke campaigns and ensure AAUK’s campaigns are integrated into national partnership plans with a particular focus on Air Ambulance Week.

Development Activities

• Support national pipeline research and development for partnerships and grants.
• Through strategic research, identify and prioritise potential national trust and foundations (in collaboration with air ambulance charity members), with the ability to give significant grants through partnership working.
• Creation and development of national fundraising proposals and stewardship reports, applying a creative approach where possible.
• Create engaging assets for applications and compelling pitches, delivering pitch presentations virtually and in person.
• Lead on research and applications for agreed national prospects, building long-term relationships with key contacts at prospective partners.
• Work with air ambulance charity members to identify projects and opportunities for national funding from trusts and foundations.
