As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.

You’ll have good customer service skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).

Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice. You’ll also have the support of a Retail Regional Supervisor, available to provide store encouragement and development of best practice.

About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.

About you

This role is based with our Wales & Southwest team, and we are looking for someone with particular experience and developed networks across this region. About the Role

The charity is leading on the Inclusion strand of the programme, delivering training to education professionals in 70 schools across London. The charity is working in partnership with Tender, a charity specialising in the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of healthy relationships between children and young people. Who we are

The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.

Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.

Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.

Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone to carry out maternity cover for our Programme Manager (Midlands & North). The Programme Manager role purpose is to lead on all aspects of service delivery within the Midlands & North area, which currently covers the following hubs: Birmingham, Solihull, Leicester, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Liverpool, Warrington & Oldham. As a manager you will play a key part in the leadership of the organisation and driving the implementation of strategic plans on the ground.

It is important to us that this role remains embedded within the delivery of our interventions, therefore the post holder will be required to spend up to 25% delivering our programmes or working alongside staff for quality assurance.

About the team

In Birmingham our team has over 40 staff plus a team of volunteers. We specialise in housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. We partner with a range of organisations to challenge the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable accommodation.

About the role

We have a new three year partnership with a leading bank, which aims to build financial resilience and break the cycles that can see people experiencing financial problems and this having a negative effect on their housing situation.

Your role will be to provide leadership and line management for six team members, keeping up to date with legislation, mentoring and coaching your team on complex issues in housing, debt and welfare benefits. The views of people with Lived Experience is key to service design at Shelter and you will lead on making sure they are involved to deliver a service that is truly co-produced. We aim to empower communities, so you will develop and deliver training on rights awareness and build relationships within the community. Compliance is also a crucial part of the role - you will monitor and report on contract and financial performance, carry out casework supervision and file reviews and identify systemic housing issues.

About you

You will need experience of working with people facing exclusion and disadvantage and in a multi-disciplinary context with partners, community groups and other agencies, acting as a safeguarding lead. A good understanding of housing, debt advice, and welfare benefits is essential. The communication skills it takes to line manage others, promote effective working relationships, with external agencies, people with lived experience and internally across Shelter, are key. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage externally funded contracts including reporting and financial oversight.

In Birmingham hub we specialise in providing housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. We work in partnership with a range of organisations to improve the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable accommodation. This role will be to provide day to day leadership for our Peer Mentor Service, delivered in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. FIRST stands for Forensic Intensive Support Recovery Teams, where Peer Mentors use their own lived experience of complex needs to provide early intervention to improve client outcomes.

About the role

You will be responsible for the day to day service delivery and line management of the Peer Mentors, supporting them to deliver tailor made and holistic support packages, integrating joint working protocols within NHS services. You will allocate referrals and work closely with the Service Manager and Service Commissioners to identify gaps in provision. At Shelter we are aiming to change the systems that cause the housing emergency so you will identify examples of good and bad practice which will then be used to call for systemic change.

To succeed, you’ll need experience of working with people with complex needs and in a multi-agency context with partners, community groups and other agencies. Ideally you will understand employing individuals with lived experience of complex needs, the challenges and opportunities this presents and how best to provide effective support. You have experience of promoting take up of services both internally and externally.
