Purpose of the job: This role will be key in driving forward the group’s volunteer strategy, which at its heart will be our commitment to making sure volunteers feel valued and appreciated. Recruiting volunteers and building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of regional volunteer sources, will be critical to the success of this role.

Bristol City’s official charity, the Robins Foundation, has a permanent vacancy for a Communications and Marketing Manager.
The purpose of the role is to create, implement and oversee internal and external communications that effectively describe and promote the Foundation and its purpose through various media platforms, using the support of the Bristol City Football Club brand to meet the charity’s targets and engage key stakeholders and the wider community.
You will own the Charity’s tone of voice by leading the creation of all content whilst coordinating the delivery of the Robins Foundation’s marketing and communications outputs – including all internal and external communications, creative content, campaigns and channel management to meet the strategic objectives and annual KPIs.
The role will include line management to marketing and communications staff to ensure that they are fully equipped to plan and deliver innovative methods which make the best of the Bristol City FC brand. Therefore, this role is a great opportunity for someone with experience in communications and marketing who is looking to take a step forward into this management role.

We are looking for someone to champion the Charity’s cause and understand the important and life-changing work we do with and within areas of deprivation in Bristol. You will be the ‘voice of the Foundation’ and will play a huge part in telling the story of the Foundation’s work.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience in digital media, communications, PR, or marketing roles with a strong understanding of written, social media, and content management.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to pick up tone of voice. You must be able to communicate information in a lively, accurate and readable manner in various formats for targeted audiences.
- A passion and interest in social change and the ability to find and communicate this change with a storytelling approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills – you must have the ability to prioritise and balance a range of projects and a varied workload, ensuring key tasks are completed in accordance with work plans.
- A strong team player with experience in line managing others to produce results and the ability to lead a team.

Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, scale, strengthen, and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform, and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities across the globe.
Summary job description
We are currently recruiting a Project Manager - Advocacy to support the delivery of our new advocacy projects in West Africa. The projects of about $2 million over 3 years will be focused on supporting regional civil society organisations to advocate for the rights of small-scale fishers against industrial destructive fishing and promoting transparent and sustainable fisheries governance.
Reporting to the West Africa (WA) Regional Director with a dotted line to the Head of Programme Management, the Project Manager will be supported by the wider Blue Ventures team, which will provide technical and strategic support and guidance. This is a full time role based in Blue Ventures’ Senegalese office, with regular travel in the West Africa region to work closely with partners, field teams, and communities (up to 20% travels).
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive, and highly organised individual, with an excellent knowledge of project implementation and ideally, strong knowledge of partnerships and advocacy. You will demonstrate a proven track record of project implementation, as well as good spoken and written communication. Ideally, you will have experience of community-based conservation and development initiatives in the region.
We are looking for an individual who is open to new ideas and embraces innovation, who can demonstrate experience of building effective working partnerships for conservation and/or development. Job Title: Hackney Infant Feeding Peer Support Community Lead
Salary: £ 10,400 Actual (£26,000 FTE)
Working Hours: 14 hours per week (Job Share) (contracted through till 30th September 2025)

About us at the NCT
A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
Peer Support Community Lead to manage, coordinate and support our trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporters at community venues throughout Hackney Borough. This role is home-based but will include travel across the Hackney region (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading the infant feeding support with Hackney in the community, working closely with the Hospital support lead. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Leading on infant feeding peer support in the community across the region.
· Managing the peer support staff and volunteers that work in the community.
· Working with and supporting Peer Supporters to carry out their role.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support groups are accessible and inclusive.
· Providing peer support to parents and families and attending groups where required.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
· Coordinate the Equipment Hire Service
· Coordinate and maintain the active social media and Infant Feeding Services Site.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is 14 hours per week as is a job share, which will be predominantly Monday to Wednesday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a home-based role, however travel across Hackney will be required.
