The Role

The role of Associate Director will be to support the Director, Global Grants Management to establish and maintain the direction of the grant making policy, training and continuous development of the Officer and Associate pools.

The Associate Director will oversee staff that are responsible for creating and maintaining grantmaking policy, working with IT to support technical training requirements and delivery, enforce global policies and standards, and upskilling and continuous development of the Associate / Officer pools.

• Accountable for and direct research conducted into design, and assessment activities in complex and/or sensitive projects 

• Lead the monitoring and improvement of organizational assessment policy and oversee research and development of policy concepts 

• Oversee the creation and modification of policy, managing consensus and approval processes 

• Oversee the development of new learning content and methods to fill gaps in existing programs, methods or tools for Associate / Officer pools

Qualifications

• University degree – BA or BSc

The salary range for this role in the U.S. is $102, 500 - $189, 600 (USD). The final offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set and level of experience.

About the role

You will oversee all phases of our funded services and programmes, working at senior management level. The Programme Manager will deliver a personal development journey to young people using snowsports as the hook to engage those who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. We do this in partnership with youth projects and youth service providers across the Midlands.

About the Role:

This role is home-based with regular travel throughout the region. The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support.

As the Operations Manager for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.

You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.

You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering Thames Valley and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.

Your will provide direct line management to the Victim Awareness Officer who will play a key role in planning & delivering training and raising awareness of activities. You will support them in the recruitment & development of an active cohort of volunteers performing the roles of Criminal Justice and Engagement Champions.

As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.

About the Role 

As the Head of Programmes, you will take on a strategic leadership role, managing the team of Programme Managers and deputising for the CEO when required. You will ensure each programme flourishes while encouraging collaboration across teams and with external partners to meet our ambitious objectives. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work from home and travel to see our programmes in action nationwide. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Line managing senior programme staff, including a dispersed workforce 
• Overseeing operational demands and change management 
• Financial management - budgeting, forecasting, invoices, embracing fundraising 
• Actively promoting equality of opportunity and being a powerful advocate for our cause 
• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement across sectors 
• Supporting strategic direction and deputising for the CEO when required 

You will work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team of 10, and a delivery team of around 40 colleagues. 

About You 

We are seeking an exceptional communicator and versatile senior leader committed to providing quality opportunities for disadvantaged children. You must have: 

• Proven success line managing senior programme staff and a dispersed workforce 
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting 
• Working with the Impact and Learning Lead to ensure broad and deep understanding and implementation of our Theory of Change and our values, that evaluation and learning are embedded throughout the organisation and that we are known for the quality of our reporting, with all our activities and reporting informed by meaningful data. 
• To identify and develop key partnerships to enable us to extend our reach and our impact. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Confidence and competence to act at Board level and deputise for CEO 

Additionally, you should have: 

• Strategic thinking abilities to balance priorities and find solutions 
• A collaborative approach suited to a dynamic team environment 
• A desire to support colleagues' growth and development 
• The ability to build successful, effective partnerships – our 5 Year Plan goals are dependent on working with and through others

The Country Trust Impact and Learning Lead is a flexible and fulfilling opportunity in our growing, energetic charity. You'll ensure evaluation and learning are embedded throughout the organisation, setting the standard for measuring and articulating our difference.  As a versatile senior leader, you'll shape our strategic direction by championing our Theory of Change and embedding impact across our activities from the start. 

Starting from a strong position with our existing evaluation framework, you'll nurture a culture of evidence-based improvement across programmes such as our Farm Discovery and Countryside Discovery Residential programmes, in all reaching over 70,000 children annually.

About You 

• You are a team player, skilled in designing evaluation and learning activities ensuring all voices are heard.
• Experienced in commissioning and/or managing external research or evaluation partners. 
• With strengths in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis and storytelling, you'll create compelling reports that drive decision-making.
• You are an excellent communicator engaging diverse stakeholders, and an inspiring presenter and writer advocating our cause. 
• You are a curious, creative thinker piloting innovative ways to gather and visualise data. While no deep academic research knowledge is required, you'll have an appreciation of different methods, tools and approaches. 
• You can balance priorities and get hands-on. 
• You are skilled at designing and delivering training. 
• You understand the realities facing disadvantaged children and are committed to creating quality opportunities through our work 
• You have strong IT skills. 
• You have firsthand experience working with or within primary education. 
• You ideally have experience in the charity sector and a passion for food, farming and the countryside is desirable.

We are looking to recruit a Operations Site Manager to join our team based at our Midlands site. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Our Vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.

We have two public sites (London and Midlands) and a stored collection (Stafford). Our trading company and active fundraising supplement Grant in Aid which comes through the Ministry of Defence.

Purpose of the Operations Site Manager role is to:

The Operations Site Manager is a new post that will ensure the Museum builds on its excellent standards of visitor experience. The successful candidate will lead the team through the next exciting chapter of operational and visitor experience improvement by aligning working practices on-site and delivering cultural change throughout the team. Managing on-site visitor experience, safety and security, daily operations, site cleanliness and presentation standards to maximise visitor experience will also be a critical responsibility.

Key responsibilities of our Operations Site Manager include:

• Actively engage with the Visitor Experience Supervisors (VES) to enable them and others to provide an exceptional visitor experience, excelling in customer service and interaction, and assist the empowerment of others to deliver the same aims and objectives
• Acting as a customer-focus role model. Leading by example with confidence and passion to ensure the Museum maintains a first-class service
• Ensuring the support/delivery of front of house commercial activities, sales, and fundraising activities to maximise financial return and meet specified devolved targets
• Overseeing the delivery of visitor experience and engagement by enhancing the tour offer and packages, aircraft/cockpit access and utilising the handling collection to share the RAF stories in a fun and exciting way
• Line managing direct reports to enable and empower them to succeed within their role, through regular 1-2-1 meetings, coaching, mentoring, training, development opportunities and performance management that motivates and inspires the delivery of excellent visitor experience, operational compliance, and site standards
• Overseeing the management of operational rostering. Creating cross site/team consistency to maintain fairness in the approach and alignment with Museum policies and protocols
• Delivering the first-class visitor experience through managing and overseeing the recruitment, performance, development and welfare of the VES and other visitor experience teams

What we are looking for in our Operations Site Manager:

• The ability to inspire teams to engage with the aims and objectives of the Museum and department.
• Understanding of compliance and duty of care responsibilities in relation to the operation of a busy visitor attraction.

• The ability to articulate the Museum’s purpose and objectives and supports the team to see their role within it.
