We have recently secured funding to allow us to expand our accredited Carer Support Service to reach more carers. The service provides 1-1 befriending and group support to unpaid carers in Manchester. This post is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about support for carers, enjoys working as part of a team and wants to have real input in developing a service.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the needs of unpaid carers and recognises the value of peer support between carers. You might also have experience running groups, providing one-to-one support or information or supporting volunteers.
The role will involve spending a lot of time out in the community across Manchester working with carers and in partnership with others developing and delivering the service. Your office base would be the Manchester Carers Forum office.

The current funding for this post runs to March 2021 but we would seek continuation funding.
