Job description

Manchester Mind is looking to recruit 2 Community Engagement Workers. The role will involve working with people with lived experience of mental health problems who have been, or are in the process of being, discharged from Community Mental Health Teams with the aim of ensuring this transition is supported and people feel able to access the help and support they need in the community as well as developing informal peer support networks.

We would like to work with someone who is experienced, dynamic and passionate about being able to develop and deliver accessible mental health support services.

Position: Community Engagement Worker (2 posts)

Salary: £22,462.00    |    Hours: 35 hours per week    |    Fixed-term project 12 months

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

  • Ability to work in an open way that builds kind relationships and is receptive to and appreciative of the skills and talents of everyone.
  • Knowledge or experience of the issues that people with lived experience of poor mental health face and the impact this has on their lives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
