Job description

We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and that we have a part to play in that. Our work is guided by our values of:

Openness  |  Belonging  |  Strength  |  Collaboration

Manchester Volunteer Advice Partnership (MVAP) is a project led by Manchester Mind and involving Cheetham Hill Advice Centre, Manchester Refugee Support Network and Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit. Our focus is advice and improving access to advice. It is also about recruiting and training volunteers from our own communities to support us and the wider sector to deliver advice. It is about collaboration, and this new National Lottery Community funded MVAP is focused on excellent quality training but also on developing our volunteers and creating a sense of community. To help us do this we are looking to recruit a:

Inclusion Support Administrator

The role will support the Training Development Worker in working with volunteers and supporting their development and access to the training. Our previous projects were successful in creating a strong sense of belonging and we want to make sure that we do not lose that. The Inclusion Support Administrator will work with volunteers to ensure the training and the project is accessible particularly through digital inclusion. This post will also support overall administration for the project.

Salary: £21,322 p.a. pro rata (£10,661 actual)

The type of skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

  • Being able to work collaboratively and share skills and knowledge.
  • Being able to build relationships to create a sense of belonging.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of delivering training or one to one support.
