Job description

Manchester Mind and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust work in partnership to provide an assertive outreach pathway within Community Mental Health Teams in the city. We work with people who have long term mental health problems and complex issues including homelessness, substance use and offending.

Manchester Mind wishes to appoint to the following post:

Position:        Support Time and Recovery Worker (12 month fixed term contract)

Location:       North West and North East Teams (McCartney House, Harpurhey)

Hours:             37 per week (full time)

Salary:            £21,748 per annum pro rata + 5% pension contribution

Holiday:         28 days per year + bank holidays

Supporting people in their journey to recovery is an integral part of this job. To ensure that this happens we are looking for a creative, innovative person with excellent engagement skills and a positive and collaborative approach to working with people with complex needs.

You will need to be a team player but also not afraid to take the lead when needed and we expect you to have experience working with people with mental health needs. Experience of using mental health services will be an advantage. Successful applicants will be able to show that they can maintain a positive approach to providing recovery-focused support to service users, and have the ability to inspire hope in service users at all times.
