Digital Lead

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 dependent on experience (incl. weighting if based in London Office)
Location: Can be located in our Ross-on-Wye or London offices

Are you passionate about digital and using your skills to help save our seas? Join the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) as our Digital Lead to create a digital strategy that ensures we inspire and engage our audiences across all our digital channels.

MCS is at the heart of the movement which is growing the understanding that we, as a nation, have to do something about the rising tide of plastic on our beaches and in our seas. As the UK's leading marine charity, we are determined to create the actions that will make change happen for the future of our planet. You can play a key part in the continuation of this important work with MCS.

We need someone with digital project management skills, sound technical knowledge and the vision to ensure we optimise our digital content and experience. You’ll be experienced in managing websites and understand how to bring stories to life online, using your knowledge of user experience to create inspiring user journeys.

You’ll also be confident supporting teams to develop their own digital skills and champion our digital culture, working with us to create a shared vision and plan and enhance our digital products and services.

This role will be based in either Ross on Wye or London, but with scope for flexibility and home working.

Key Skills

- Significant experience of designing and delivering digital strategies
- A track record of managing digital projects, delivering websites and other products, on time, within budget
- Excellent skills in digital storytelling: creating engaging and inspiring content
- Experienced as a line manager, providing a supportive environment where team members can develop and grow
- Demonstrable negotiating and influencing skills - able to deliver whilst managing stakeholder expectations
- Flexible and resilient when managing multiple priorities and balancing workloads in order to meet deadlines
