Full Time, 35 Hours per week
(Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
Salary Range £31,500 to £33,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Based at The Frances Hay Centre, Banbury with the possibility of hybrid working
We are looking for a creative individual to lead our campaigns and digital marketing activity.
Role purpose
The Campaigns and Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for attracting, converting and retaining supporters through our campaigns and digital marketing activity. The role will particularly suit a creative leader with a keen interest in supporter acquisition, data insights, analysis, testing and measurement.
About us
At Dogs for Good, we believe that dogs, and the bond we share with them, can help people lead happier, healthier and more independent lives. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we embark on a bold, new strategy to move to a more community-led model, alongside a greater emphasis on training, education and advocacy. Over the next five years, this will increase the impact in our three priority areas – improving the quality of life for people and dogs; increasing the understanding of the value of connection with a dog; and creating a more inclusive society.
Why work with us?
We know how competitive the market is for hiring fundraisers with digital skills – that is why we are looking for someone with a digital background and experience in delivering campaigns, who can use these skills and apply them to our marketing activities, including income generation. While the puppies attract a lot of attention, we’re entering a new phase in our Communications team that will put continuous improvement at the very heart of everything we do, and this means not resting on our laurels! We know there is more we can do to attract, convert and retain audiences across our fundraising products and service delivery and we are in search of a creative team-player to help us achieve our ambitious targets.
Salary – £31,500 – £33,000. In addition we offer a range of great benefits, including 25 days annual leave, plus additional time off between Christmas and New Year (and not working your birthday!); a generous contributory pension scheme; hybrid working, a great office environment (shared with our dogs), on the edge of Banbury.

Every 6 minutes someone learns that they are losing their sight. Every five hours, a baby is born with sight problems. In these moments, two profound questions emerge:
• Can this be stopped?
• How do I (or my child) live this life?
The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 will enable us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we’ll be the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. Together we can mitigate both the prevalence and impact of sight loss.
We have a clear ambition, led by our CEO, Keith Valentine, who has valuable lived experience of sight loss. At Media Trust, we believe it’s by giving everyone a voice that we’ll get to a more equal society. That’s why we’re working with hundreds of charities to strengthen their storytelling, advocacy and campaigning, press engagement and social media. We do this through media, communications and digital skills training delivered in partnership with our media and creative industry partners and by matching media industry volunteers with charities looking for help with content creation and other comms support. At the same time, we are working with hundreds of young people and talent from under-represented communities to give them the skills, access and mentoring to break into the media.
About the Role
Do you want to lead innovative and impactful programmes to strengthen the communications, campaigning, storytelling, media engagement and digital skills of organisations advocating for social justice and systemic change?
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual with a track record of successful programme management, who is passionate about communications that drive change.
This position will report to the Head of Programmes and oversee Media Trust's thematic strategic communications programmes that strengthen the voices of charities. Our thematic programmes support cohorts of charities working in the same area, including equalities and social justice (our Stronger Voices programme) and environmental and climate issues (our Communicating Climate programme.)
In the context of rising levels of inequality, the media and policymakers need to hear from the people whose lives are most affected. In this role, you will support user-led organisations campaigning for systemic change to speak truth to power.
Our six-month strategic communications training programmes are designed to support charities and community organisations to amplify their voice, mobilise support and influence meaningful change. These programmes include in-person and virtual training, mentoring and support from industry experts, and tailored digital resources.
This role will directly manage our Stronger Voices programme, ensuring the smooth delivery of the programme, including managing our cohort of equalities organisations; overseeing the budget and timeline; managing our relationships with funders, trainers and partners; and impact evaluation and reporting.
You will also oversee our other thematic programmes (currently Communicating Climate). You will line manage the Project Manager of Communicating Climate and a Project Coordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to social justice, with strong programme management skills, an understanding of strategic communications and a passion for empowering the charity sector through training and mentorship. This is a highly rewarding role which offers opportunities to engage with both the charity sector and the media and creative industries.
*Please note that whilst this is a remote role, Stronger Voices is a London-based programme, so proximity to London will be beneficial for delivering in-person activity for the cohort.
