The Actors’ Benevolent Fund supports professional actors and stage managers in times of need, and in 2022 we spent over £1.6M on charitable support. Key responsibilities, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications:

- Press and PR: Research stories, produce press releases and case studies, maintain media lists and record and evaluate media coverage.
- Brand Management: Manage our library of brand assets. Liaise with grant recipients regarding the acknowledgement of our funding and use of our logo. Review and establish a new online Photo Library, ensuring imagery is collected and stored in line with GDPR.
- Printed materials: Manage the design and production of reports and marketing collateral.
- Events: Support the delivery of organisational events and attend relevant external events to promote our programme delivery and our philanthropy advice offers.
- Video editing and creation: Develop our capacity to produce our own video content to support our marketing and communications activities.
- External suppliers: Liaise with printers, web agency, caterers and other suppliers when required.
- Contribute as a team member to the overall development of the Community Foundation.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Marketing and Communications.

This is a full-time (Monday - Friday working 9am - 5pm) position and with opportunities for hybrid working with some time each week in our office in central Devizes. Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.
Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You’ll support with crafting engaging funding applications, which stand out from the crowd and capture the funders hearts. You’ll create bright and positive social media and blog posts to share the uplifting stories of students and graduates from Seed of Hope and grow our online supporter base, in turn increasing our donors.

About the role

WORKING AT USHER KIDS UK

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Events:
As Events and Communications Officer, a significant part of your role will be assisting in the design and delivery of our virtual and in-person events. These include:
o Regular (monthly) virtual events
o Twice-yearly family in-person events (usually a Saturday in April and in September or October)
o Annual residential camp for 11-25yr olds ( a 5-night residential held in July or August)
Some of the aspects you will lead on include:
o Communicating with our community and other stakeholders, such as venues and volunteers, pre- and post-event.
o Creating promotional and other event materials.
o Registration and organisation of the people involved in the event.
o Coordinating logistics before, during and after events.
Having worked so hard making sure that the event runs successfully, you will of course also be a vital part of the team helping to deliver the in-person events, which is an absolute joy!
Communications
You will assist in the design and delivery of our communications strategy. This will include:
o Determining how best to communicate with our families, including the children and young people, to ensure that we provide the support and services they need.
o Determining how best to communicate with our collaborators, including other organisations, funders and professionals in the sector, in order to continue and improve our offer.
o Managing the day-to-day delivery of our social media, emails, website, promotional materials and media archives.
o Keeping our CRM updated and proactively communicating with our stakeholders.
o Supporting our Governance Team with scheduling and meeting arrangements.
o Monitoring the impact of our events and engagement, using insight gained to identify unmet needs, and work as a team to create a plan to address these needs.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Essential:
o Computer literate and confident using MS Office software.
o An excellent knowledge of different social media platforms and the types of content required to drive engagement.
o Experience of website/CMS systems.
o Understanding of printed promotional material.

Help Promote the London Jesuit Centre and our Young Adults Ministries. We need en enthusiastic worker to maintain our website and social media presence as well as promote our Educational Centre through advertising. Have you the skills to create simple promotional videos, photograph for web illustrations and maintain and even design websites. You will be a member of both the London Jesuit Centre team and the team of the Young Adults Ministries. If you are practical and have a creative flare, then this job could be for you.
Duties and responsibilities:
· The creation and posting of simple, short videos for social media and web pages.
· The maintenance of web sites using Webflow.
· Photography of events etc to illustrate web pages and social media posts. Some of these events take place outside normal office hours, so some flexibility in hours worked will be necessary in the job.
· Working with the teams to post to social media and upgrade web presence.
· Produce digital and printed advertising material.
The London Jesuit Centre is run by the Jesuits, an Religious Order in the Roman Catholic Church. The venture was launched in 2019, with three strands to its work: the teaching and discussion of theology, the study and practice of the spiritual life, and engagement with issues of social and environmental justice, for the greater glory of God and the common good. There is a programme of events, courses and conferences, retreats and performances. A number of partner organizations also use the centre on a regular basis.
Jesuit Young Adults Ministries have as their central focus a Sunday Eucharist at 7pm, followed by social time, which takes place in Farm Street Church and the LJC. There are regular events for smaller groups in the LJC and in the Jesuit house in Clapham. Main days of operation are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

- Sustainably collecting, refurbishing and redistributing unused digital devices to individuals facing disadvantages in our local community.

In this key position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating our growing volunteer team. This is a new role within our small yet dynamic team. As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will take charge of promoting volunteer opportunities for Power to Connect throughout Wandsworth. Your responsibilities will include recruiting, engaging and managing volunteers to contribute to the impactful work of our charity.
