Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

This role requires the flexibility to travel and attend key live events, conferences, and locations for content shoots, which will be built into working hours.
About you
As our perfect candidate, you bring experience of successfully delivering large-scale social media campaigns within a professional organisation. You have plenty of professional experience on different social platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok.
You have experience of running social media for a complex portfolio, first-hand experience of social listening platforms and experience of campaign social copywriting.
With a passion for social media and a keen understanding of content from a user’s perspective, you have knowledge of the social media industry, social media campaign management processes, and related tools and technologies.

Southmead Hospital Charity is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Marketing and Communications Lead to increase the visibility of our charity, expand our audiences and strengthen engagement across our digital platforms.
In this varied and busy position, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a communications and engagement strategy for Southmead Hospital Charity, overseeing and managing supporter communications, making our key messages compelling and our content engaging.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of Picker's programme of events. This will include two in-person conferences with attendees from across the United Kingdom as well as regular online events during the year. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join Positive East as our new Fundraising Officer. This is a key and varied role that sits within the charity’s busy Fundraising Team. You will report directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Manager.
You will be responsible for identifying potential new sources of grant funding from charitable trusts and foundations and steward a portfolio of small grants funders. You will also lead on the development of smaller grant proposals and reports, contributing to the wider ambitions of the fundraising team and providing support when needed to achieve annual targets.
As part of this role, you will also lead on the development and the day-to-day management of our social media presence and digital communications and explore new ways to engage audiences as well as with our individual donors.

About the role:
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Media Officer is a key member of the organisation’s Engagement department (comprising the Marketing team and Publishing team). The post-holder is responsible for creating relevant and impactful media and content to support the promotion of and engagement with key activities.
This content includes but is not limited to video, animation and podcasts and the Media Officer should be able to recommend and deliver the right solution/s to support the targets and objectives. The Media Officer will help drive engagement across the organisation’s communication channels and raise the organisation’s profile and reputation through impactful content and messaging. This role is fundamental to deepening engagement, increasing loyalty, and driving up income so we can better deliver our ambitious 5-year strategy to transform survival for pancreatic cancer. You will join us at an exciting time to improve primarily our supporter journeys but will also focus on audience experience across the charity, including our support services, fundraising, campaigns, and marketing activity. You’ll be taking stock of our current journeys - working with a wide range of stakeholders to evaluate what is working well, where there are overlaps and pain points, and how we can make improvements. You will then continually champion the needs and expectations of our audiences in the development of new journeys and activities, working as part of other transformational programmes to deliver a first-class experience for our audiences.
You’ll also be providing clear and practical support to steer teams to work in a more audience-centered way and your approach will be based on data-led insights, making use of a suite of exciting new tools and audience analysis we have recently undertaken.

The public affairs and campaigns adviser supports the development of the RCP’s influence and networks, particularly in government and Parliament, identifying opportunities to involve RCP fellows and members in our influencing work.
