Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.

We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You will create and share content that drives engagement, increases brand awareness and inspires followers to take an action, considering equality, diversion, and inclusion at all times. You will work to our brand and house style guidelines, producing content that supports Sustrans’ campaigning, fundraising and policy influencing work.
This role covers the UK.We may occasionally need you to travel for team meetings and to collaborate with key colleagues based in our hubs across the UK, and this may include occasional overnight stays.
About you
You should have experience of using social media scheduling to strategically share and inform content creation across multiple channels to increase reach and engagement.
You will also have the ability to produce compelling and engaging copy for social media, as well as having excellent editing and proofreading skills. We ask that also have graphic creation skills such as infographics and digital visual assets, and be able to create small-scale multimedia assets such as Reels.
We ask that you demonstrate your knowledge of digital copywriting principals as well as an understanding of social media monitoring tool and meaningful metrics to gain insight on performance and to inform our wider content and communications plans.

The Role
You will provide leadership and direction for a team of early year’s content writers and work collaboratively across teams to support the development and delivery of products and services.
Main duties include
- Support the Interim Director – Institute of Early Years Education with the development of a content strategy that meets the needs of its members
- Provide support to the early years content writer(s) in the development and delivery of products and services for the early years sector in the UK
- Lead and manage the early years content writer(s) to develop, review and deliver digital products and services
- Ensure the content of services is suitable for practitioners at all levels
- Audit existing resources for brand voice, relevance, and SEO optimisation
- Consult with members practitioners to pilot and test the proposed new products
- Evaluate and act on service delivery and impact on customer achievement
- Promote a consistent brand identity through content development
- Create and manage a short-term and long-term content publishing calendar
About You
You will be an experienced early years leader with significant knowledge of effective practice in all areas of EYFS for supporting all children including those with SEND.
You will have experience of:
- Teaching and leading in early years settings
- Leading and managing teams
- Operating at a strategic level, influencing development and review of services
- Analysis of data from service delivery to effect change
- Achieving tangible outcomes in results driven environment
- Design and development of online training
- Product development and review from entry to graduate level
You will bring significant experience around early education and care workforce development, health and wellbeing, and leadership and will have a key responsibility for the development of services surrounding these specialist areas.

You will have:
· Fundraising experience (with trusts and foundations) working in a management level role within a voluntary sector organisation, wanting to or having progressed into senior leadership.

· Experience in thinking strategically and developing operational business plans.
· Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising and development role with a focus on income generation and fundraising strategy development.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and develop teams of people to deliver results.
