Press & Marketing Assistant

  • £21,535 per annum + pension, medical and dental insurance

  • 25 days holiday (plus 3 additional days to be taken between Christmas and New Year)

  • 34 hour working week with a 4pm finish on Fridays

  • Central London location (Covent Garden)

Senior Marketing Executive

OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain experience within a marketing and communications role to join our busy communications team as our Press and Marketing Assistant.  

 

You will be assisting the marketing team in the creation and delivery of marketing materials across traditional and digital channels and providing administrative support to the team to ensure the successful delivery of activities and projects. You will also be assisting the Press Officer and the marketing team with press releases and media activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in developing experience within the marketing and PR field and have the ability to build relationships with a number of stakeholders and colleagues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to be successful in this role along with a positive can do attitude.  

JOB PURPOSE

  • Support the process for producingeffective marketing collateral and publicity materials topromote the Masonic Charitable Foundation’sactivities.

  • Supporting the Press Officer in seeking press and media coverage for our charitable activities.

  • Ensuring there is a strong presence of the activities amongst freemasons, their families and wider society.

  • A positive, pro-active, can-do attitude with the ability to problem-solve in order to achieve the organisation’s objectives and project targets.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write persuasively to a range of audiences

  • An interest or theoretical understanding of marketing or the media

  • Able to buildeffective relationships with colleagues andother stakeholders, with the confidence to communicate with others.

  • An ability to work on own initiative and execute plans with minimal supervision.

  • Strong IT skills, including MicrosoftOffice and proficiency in using desktop publishing tools, content management systems and online applications.

 

Desired

  • Professional qualification and/or membership in a relevantfield

  • Experience of marketing

  • Experience of using Adobe In Design and/or Photoshop

  • Previous experience of the charity sector

  • An understanding of English freemasonry

  • An awareness of issues the charity sector
