These exciting and varied roles will work with colleagues across the Greater London Authority’s Good Growth directorate and beyond to help deliver the goals of the Mayor of London’s Economic Fairness programme.
They will support delivery of key projects, including the Mayor’s Good Work Standard, working with prospective and existing accredited employers to help them model best employment practice.
They will also support City Hall’s interaction the Living Wage campaign and Living Wage City Programme, and help devise and deliver new charters for good work for Creative Freelancers, On-Demand Workers and microbusinesses. They will brief colleagues, senior officials and external audiences on relevant developments in employment practice, developing lobbying lines and responses to public correspondence and Mayor’s Questions.
The successful post-holder will have strong organisational and communication skills, experience delivering multi-faceted projects, and a knowledge and interest in employment policy and wider fairness issues in the economy.
This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
