Head of Fundraising and Communications
Location: Flexible, must work from our London office at least once a week and required for in person meetings and fundraising activities.
Salary: £50,0000 (including London weighting) plus a competitive pension
Contract: Full time - permanent

You will be joining the organisation at a pivotal time as we ambitiously seek to grow our reach and income over the next five years. We laid considerable foundation in our fundraising function and now we’re looking for a driven, focused and highly proficient Head of fundraising and communications to join our team to deliver Black Mind Matter UK’s strategy.
About the role
We are recruiting an exceptional and experienced Head of fundraising to work closely with the chief executive and the board of trustees to lead and manage the growth of Black Minds Matter UK’s fundraising activity. This exciting role will suit an experienced fundraiser who can deliver strategically and influence at a senior level both internally and externally. They will implement fundraising initiatives and our overarching fundraising strategy to build and manage partnerships, working creatively to grow existing funding and establish new income sources.
Reporting to the CEO, this role will manage the current team and grow our fundraising function according to the fundraising strategy. They will also be part of Black Minds Matters UK’s senior leadership team.

The Role:
As Individual Giving Officer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling campaigns, nurturing meaningful donor relationships, and ensuring exceptional donor care. As a valued member of their fundraising team, you'll drive initiatives ranging from one-off donations to digital fundraising, all aimed at fortifying their vital support network for farming communities.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience in fundraising, with a good grasp of stewardship practices and donor engagement.
* A self-starter mentality, adept at juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling you to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
* A deep understanding of individual giving strategies and experience collaborating with agencies to achieve fundraising goals.
In addition, you will have a good understanding of data management and CRM systems. They welcome candidates that have broader fundraising experience that will be looking to excel in a role like this.

This is a truly exciting time to join our ambitious Fundraising Team. To fund our services and respond to the current mental health emergency, we have developed an ambitious 5-year growth strategy. To enable us to deliver this strategy, we are investing in the team to ensure we can develop a Trusts and Foundations portfolio made up of prospects with capacity to give £5k - £1m+. The Trusts and Grants Manager will play a pivotal role in growing this area of our income, driving prospects into the Philanthropy, Trusts and Grants and Corporate Partnerships pipelines.
How you will make a difference
As Trusts and Grants Manager you will be integral in managing and optimising existing funder relationships as well as developing new partnerships to help us achieve ambitious targets and drive change. This role will work with Trusts and Foundations of all sizes with a focus £25,000+ producing compelling applications, providing excellent stewardship and supporting project development across Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK. This role will also work closely with the Head of Trusts and Grants to research, build relationships and secure partnerships with Strategic Funders who will support our Communities that Care strategy and drive change within the mental illness and mental health sector.
*Appointments will be at the minimum of the band.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team. You will work alongside the other Finance Officer to ensure that Richmond Borough Mind’s financial administration operates in an efficient and timely manner.
Working with Sage50 Cloud Accounting, you will process supplier invoices, payments and expenses by setting up BACS payments, standing orders and direct debits as necessary. You will assist with monthly accounts; preparing monthly payroll information and processing month end schedules as requested.
This role will see your existing financial accounting and administrative skills develop, working closely with the Head of Finance in the preparation of management accounts and budgets as well as ad hoc financial tasks.
