We are looking for 1 full time and 1 Part Time (0.5) Community Engagement Practitioners.
This is an innovative new service, integrating the expertise, skills and knowledge of the VCS network in Barnet with NHS Mental Health services. The purpose of the role is to provide psycho-social support to clients, working within specialist Mental Health teams and the partners of the Wellbeing Together CIC.
The role will carry an active caseload supporting access into services appropriate to their level of need, with a focus on recovery and independence, and improve self-management of their wellbeing through intensive support. CEPs will support the core community mental health teams working in alignment with Primary Care Networks as part of the new model.
The CEP team will focus on empowering clients to achieve socio-economic goals with clear mental health and wellbeing benefits, and team members will also have specific training in areas such as employment and housing to support the wider PSS service team. The post holder will help to facilitate and co-deliver recovery focused groups and contribute to the development of new community resources.

As a dedicated marketing resource in this small but energetic charity team, the role of marketing assistant is to help elevate Youth Talk’s story and brand awareness amongst its target markets. About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Dundee and surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks. About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Perthshire. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients home or other suitable community venue, and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
Full time Advocates will work 35 hours per week, between Monday and Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.
About you
We actively encourage applications from those who are long term unemployed.
Desirably you will have some experience of working, providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education, training, benefits, employment, care and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. What You'll Do:
- Collaboration and Efficiency: Work hand-in-hand with existing Mental Health Provision for young people and their families, as well as other local agencies/organisations to effectively support young people transitioning from services.
- Innovation and Development: Channel your passion delivering and promoting Young Persons peer support groups. Work closely with primary care, schools and colleges to promote mental health support available via S&G Mind
