If so, the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) is recruiting for Head of Corporate Partnerships reporting to the Director of Fundraising and communications to support our Corporate Partnership Team.

Joining us as the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will provide strategic lead to the Corporate Partnership activities, including workplace mental health in conjunction with our wholly owned subsidiary Mental Health at Work CIC to achieve the mission, value and strategic objectives. This will involve managing the overall Corporate Partnership Programme to innovate, engage and develop partnerships that build sustainable income streams, through leading, shaping and managing team to deliver.

The Corporate Partnership Team raises £880,000 income per year for the Foundation with a budget of £330,000 - this role will contribute to the overall success of our key strategic aim ‘Building a strong Foundation’.

What does the role involve?

  • Lead on the planning and implementation of strategies that enable the Foundation to build long-term sustainable income by managing and developing relationships with corporate partners. Using a range of fundraising and staff engagement approaches.
  • Working with the Foundation’s Fundraising, Communications, Programme and Research Teams to identify the work that will appeal to a broad range of corporate sectors, engage companies in both financial and non-financial ways, across multiple years.
  • Providing management and leadership across Corporate Partnership Team, ensuring fundraising objectives and targets are achieved, and that all project management, budgetary and planning expectations are met. Building on cross-organisation working including Trustees, the CEO and Directors to ensure that long-term developmental opportunities are maximised.

What are we looking for?

  • Evidence of effective working knowledge and development of strategies for corporate partnership fundraising including both the acquisition of new partners and the ongoing account management of partnerships.  
  • Experience at senior level of working collaboratively with colleagues in Programmes, Research & Policy and Communications to identify the work and stories most likely to be valuable to our fundraising approaches and to ensure that this is gathered and communicated effectively to current and potential partners.
  • Proven leader with demonstrated experience using a coaching and collaborative approach to managing teams and stakeholders.
