About the Role

The role will be to establish and deliver the most effective support to UK seafarers centres and to identify and develop areas of improvement for management and governance.  The post holder will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Key duties will also include investigating, planning and leading on innovative programmes to ensure the success of the centres and to improve marketing and communications.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and effective manager with strong project management skills, including budget control, governance and experience of grant funding. The post holder will need to proactively build strong relationships with stakeholder organisations in order to enhance the reputation of the service. In delivering the role you will also need the ability to motivate, encourage and support centre managers to fully participate in an innovative pilot project, as well be an aspiring team leader who is able to work on their own initiative. Ideally you will have experience in the maritime and/or charity sector or in a customer service related field.  The candidate must be willing to travel in the UK and possess a full driving licence.
