IT & Systems Manager
Mermaids is currently growing and needs to ensure that all aspects of the charity are maintained and remain secure. We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT and Systems Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems, databases, and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently, and that systems continue to be fully secure and GDPR complaint.
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical and operational management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems. The candidate should have a firm understanding of monitoring techniques to ensure tracking and reporting to agreed SLAs, they should have experience of crisis and change management and have in depth knowledge in security best practices.
The ideal candidate will have impeccable communication skills and be used to dealing with all levels of the organisation as well as third party vendors. They will benefit from a sensitive understanding of transgender issues. They will have an industrious work ethic and the ability to react quickly and professionally to complex and pressured situations.
