About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to raise funds for MHA working as a key member of the Philanthropy Team. Income from Trusts & Foundations is the bedrock of MHA's charitable income and we have ambitious plans to grow this area in line with our new strategy.
The role is hybrid with a combination of home working and our Derby head office.
You will be responsible for writing high quality applications to carefully selected Trusts & Foundations to support services for people in later life that cover the breadth of MHA's activities.
Duties will include researching and cultivating relationships with appropriate Trusts and Foundations and making timely and relevant applications for support which meet the needs of MHA. The role will involve liaison with operational teams to ensure the most appropriate and best possible outcomes.

We are looking for a solution-focussed, creative individual with persuasive writing skills and an ability to achieve targets in a fundraising setting. Ideally you will have experience in raising income from trusts and foundations, however we are also keen to speak to people looking to develop a career within this rewarding area of fundraising. Organisational skills will be integral to success in this role so you should possess the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload and also communicate convincingly with a diverse range of people.
As a charity that cares for older people, you should be passionate about reducing loneliness and isolation and determined to make a difference for the 18500 individuals we support across the country.
