Conference & Events Officer - 75th Anniversary (1FTE Fixed term, December 2020)
Central London • £26,000 - £29,000 + Benefits
The Microbiology Society is a membership charity for scientists interested in microbes, their effects and their practical uses. It is one of the largest microbiology societies in Europe with a worldwide membership based in universities, industry, hospitals, research institutes and schools.
Our members have a unique depth and breadth of knowledge about the discipline. The Society’s role is to help unlock and harness the potential of that knowledge.
As the Society celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2020, it is an opportunity ‘to celebrate the Society’s strategic plan 2018-2022 as the year falls in the middle of the plan, and to include the full range of ideas in the strategy – our vision, mission, values and objectives’.
We are seeking a Conferences and Events Officer to support the events team in the run up and throughout the Anniversary year, as we set out an ambitious plan to engage and get as many members involved in Society activities as well as sharing their experiences of the Society as possible.
