Lead on the management, delivery and promotion of Mind BLMK’s Crisis services
Mind BLMK is a local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health issues for over 40 years.
We are excited to confirm funding has recently been secured to provide Crisis Cafés, to be delivered across the boroughs of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
Crisis Cafés provide out-of-hours 7 days a week support to those suffering from mental health issues, aiming to prevent escalation, reduce isolation, increase independence and self-management, and improve mental health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting role for someone to develop and shape a new service to achieve the above aims. We are looking for an individual who is a highly motivated manager, with knowledge and experience of supporting vulnerable adults and using the recovery approach in service provision.
The successful applicant will have strong project management skills to support our flexible approach to delivering crisis interventions moving forwards. You will also be a motivating and inspirational leader, and be skilled at developing and supporting your team of staff and volunteers to deliver effective person-centred support for our clients. This high profile and challenging role will require a can-do attitude and enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
Once the services are mobilised you will be required to work in a flexible way in order to manage a service which operates during evening hours in the week and at weekends and also to engage with the wider BLMK team and external partners.
