Crisis Recovery Worker

Salary: £20,700.00 pa
Work pattern: Up to 18 hours per week, 7 day rota, evenings and/or weekends depending on agreed hours
Mind BLMK is a local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health issues for over 40 years.
We are excited to confirm funding has recently been secured to provide Crisis Cafes, to be delivered across the boroughs of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
Crisis Cafés provide out-of-hours 7 days a week support to those suffering from mental health issues, aiming to prevent escalation, reduce isolation, increase independence and self-management and improve mental health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting role for someone looking to support individuals to deescalate crisis and improve mental health and wellbeing, through focussed 1:1s and structured crisis interventions. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual with knowledge and experience of supporting vulnerable adults and using the recovery approach in service provision.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support our flexible approach to delivering crisis interventions moving forwards. You will also need a willingness to enhance and learn skills that will allow you to develop and support volunteers to deliver effective person centred support for our clients. This high profile and challenging role will require a can-do attitude and enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
Once the services are mobilised you will be required to work in a flexible way in order to coordinate a service which operates during evening hours in the week and at weekends and also to engage with the wider BLMK team and external partners.
