Job description

The Crisis Café is a new service for all residents within the Borough of Barnet experiencing emotional distress. The café is open between the hours of 4.30pm – 10.00pm seven days a week. We provide initial support meetings to immediately manage with the clients the distress they are in. We then coproduce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.

The support worker will be experienced in working with people in distress or who have mental health issues, highly organised and have excellent people skills.

We are looking for two Support Workers to each work 21.5 hours per week across a 7-day rota.

Salary: £23,500 - £25,000.
