Working for the leading mental health charity in Croydon, this exciting role will manage the provision of a non-clinical Recovery Space (crisis café) funded by Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group. This is a new project which openend earlier in the year, and is going from strength to strength, with the expansion of a day time service scheduled in December, to add to the evening service. The Recovery Space receives clients who are triaged by the Emergency Department of Croydon University Hospital or from the Crisis Assessment Team (CAT). It provides a safe and supportive holding space for those referred.
Key responsibilities include:
- To manage a team of Recovery Space Workers to provide the effective operational delivery of the Crisis service during the day and in the evenings.
- To work as a member of the team providing 1:1 support to clients , and acting as an escalation point for complex issues
- To ensure all contractual and reporting obligations for the Recovery Space are met and provided to the commissioners and as far as possible, to meet target KPIs set for the project.
- To promote the highest quality of service by liaising with relatives, carers, and local services including external agencies and other voluntary sector organisations as necessary
We are looking for passionate and committed candidates with solid experience in the mental health field who have good managerial skills and are able to motivate a team. The service is open 365 days per year and involves day and evening work and some weekend work which is arranged on a rota basis across the team.
