Job description

Welfare & Debt Adviser
Fixed term contract for 1 year
Salary: £23,480 per annum

Our Welfare Rights Project has an excellent track record in Salford, and we need a new person to join our team. You will provide a comprehensive welfare benefits and debt advice service to clients with mental health issues, both at our offices in Salford and at outreach locations and other agencies within the city.

You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle as the role requires travel to and from outreaches and home visits where necessary.

If you are intelligent, sensitive to the needs of people with mental health difficulties, committed to supporting and promoting their rights and have excellent written and verbal skills, then we would like to hear from you.

This job works with vulnerable adults and requires an enhanced disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service checks of criminal background. We also require at least 1 years’ experience of advising in this sector and satisfactory references.
