What you'd be doing

You'd be working with our Children & Young People Team to update, refresh and consolidate our Runaway Helpline website. This will include finding videos, online resources and relevant information to ensure that we provide children and young people with the most accurate information when they're seeking support. 

Qualities/Experience/Skills needed

  • Comfortable using computers, in particular using Wordpress
  • Good written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Interested in the different issues children and young people face and the support available to them

  • Helping a national charity to reach out to vulnerable children and young people
  • Furthering your understanding in the issues that children and young people face and how we can better support them 
  • There is scope for this role to develop over time with your involvement in a variety of digital tasks and consultations
  • Full training and support from the Children and Young People Team

Location and availability

  • This role is available remotely, however, there is the option to volunteer in our office in south west London (SW14 7JE)
  • We ask for you to commit to 4 hours per week - on any day if volunteering remotely or a Wednesday or Thursday from 13:00 - 16:00 if volunteering in the office
  • We would need a volunteer to ideally commit to the role for 6 months
