Momentum Children’s Charity is a local organisation that supports families whose children have cancer or a life-challenging condition. We were founded 17 years ago by our current Chief Executive and have grown enormously over that time. We currently have partnerships with six local hospitals who refer families to us for support, which ranges from therapies and counselling, to respite holidays and special family experiences.
It’s an exciting time for us, as our vision is to expand further to meet the needs of even more families. To support this growth, we need to raise awareness and the profile of the charity, as well as substantial funds to deliver our support programme. We have an ambitious three-year strategy, which includes broadening our reach into new geographical areas and, in turn, this opens the opportunity to increase our profile, supporter base and fundraising activities in new communities across South-West London, Surrey and Sussex.
The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, working alongside our Head of Strategic Development, Head of Service Delivery and Head of Finance and HR.
You will have overall responsibility for Fundraising and Marketing activities, leading and inspiring a small but dedicated team. We want you to bring fresh ideas and lots of enthusiasm: in return, you have our guarantee that we recognise the value and need to invest in fundraising. We’re doing a lot of great things already, but we know we’re not perfect! In particular, we hope you can develop our Individual Giving, Community and Events income streams, and support the other key fundraising areas in reaching their potential. You’ll be joining us as we launch a fabulous new brand design which, alongside a compelling children’s charity cause and plenty of fundable activities, makes our charity a genuinely exciting place to be!
