Job Description

Reporting into the Chief Executive you will be responsible for leading the organisation's strategic and business planning processes including the performance monitoring and governance framework.

Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Working closely with senior colleagues to develop, deliver and monitor the annual business plan.

  • Monitoring performance across all Directorates ensuring the effective delivery of the organisation's vision and strategy.

  • Identifying ways of involving internal and external stakeholders in the development and communication of strategic and operational plans.

  • Owning and delivering the risk management framework and processes.

  • Ensuring that the organisation's governance is effective and compliant.

  • Developing strategic relationships with key external partners.

  • Working as an integral member of the senior leadership team, taking joint ownership of the charity wide budget.

  • Undertaking special projects for the Chief Executive.

You should be an experienced Director with a track record of leading strategy and business planning processes. A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of planning and performance systems needs to be combined with proven experience of working at a strategic organisational level. You must have strong motivational leadership and staff management experience.
