Reporting into the Director of Finance & Resources.

The client is looking for the successful person to be able to start at the beginning of December for handover.

 

A Growing Charity, with income of £4 million is seeking a Qualified Accountant to lead its Day 2 Day finance function

 

 

Experience of working within a charitable organisation would be hugely beneficial.

 

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager leads the Finance function and is responsible for finance operations, financial accounting and reporting, financial management and control, financial planning & analysis and Treasury.

 

Supported by a team of 2

 

You will be a qualified accountant, with excellent financial accounting skills and experience of providing support and collaborating with other teams. You will have sound knowledge and experience of statutory accounts preparation and ideally you will have experience with the charity sector

 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  1. Operational Finance – AP/AR, banking, expenses, payroll & pensions etc.
  2. Month end – Management accounts with analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments etc.
  3. Tax – VAT, Corporation tax, PAYE / NI etc.
  4. Financial Planning & Analysis – Forecasting, budgeting, ad hoc analysis.
  5. Year end – Statutory accounts (SORP), external audits
  6. Business Partnering – Supporting national network
  7. External reporting - Assisting with compilation of finance plans and business cases
  8. Finance System Management
  9. Finance Controls and Processes
