My client is a not for profit organisation based in Bristol with operations around the world. As they move into the development of their next 10 year strategy and with the impact of Covid 19 on current resources, they are looking to support the business with some financial and strategic support.
We are looking for an individual who has significant CFO / FD experience with outstanding finance skills but also with an excellent business planning and strategic background. You will need to be results driven and goal orientated and use to working with a range of stakeholders and non finance people. Prior experience of working in the charitable sector would be advantageous
Key responsibilities would include:
- Developing long term financial models and the financial strategy to underpin the new organizational strategy and 3-year operational plans
- Create models which show the implications on overhead cost recovery if project plans are delayed (e.g. because of Covid-19 or other key impactful events) and review external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company
- Provide accessible and timely financial analysis and information for the Executive Team so that they understand the financial shape of the organisation and are better able to make decisions on that and balance any risks involved
- Provide coaching/mentoring support to the Head of Finance and Finance team to enable them to provide strategic information and to help identify what financial structure we need as a growing organisation
