Do you have proven experience of implementing and maintaining technical solutions for use across an organisation and an enthusiasm for learning new skills? Our national charity are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer and you could soon be playing a vital role at the heart of their IT Operations team.

About the role

My clients IT Service Delivery function works to ensure their software, systems and infrastructure remain available, flexible and secure. Within this team, IT Operations maintains and develops their end user environment and infrastructure and it’s here that we need your expertise. However, you will also manage, resolve and provide technical escalation for highly complex support issues, or those that require specialist knowledge.

Keeping abreast of emerging IT technologies will be important too, as will making recommendations and implementing security and feature enhancements.

About you

To succeed, you'll need experience of managing major updates and the replacement or commissioning of new services. You'll also need to have worked with Windows server Azure deployments and ideally, some LAMP stack deployments, though not essential. An awareness and understanding of best working practice around information and technology security is important too, while it goes without saying that you have great problem solving skills.

A practicable knowledge of data-driven web applications would be desirable but not essential.

Our client offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.
