Job description

Location: Manchester / flexible working

We are working in partnership with MSV Housing, who own and manage almost 9,000 homes in Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire.  MSV are responding to the housing crisis in the North West, by assisting the millennial generation locked out of decent homes, the elderly, those on low incomes, those in need of specialist housing, first-time buyers, and people who are ‘rightsizing’.

We are seeking a Funding Officer to join the organisation in this newly formed and exciting position.  You’ll be joining the Social Investment Team at an exciting time as they launch their new Positives Futures community offer. You’ll work within a planned programme to create high-quality written applications to source external funding to deliver initiatives within MSV communities.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive track record of securing funding via bids, trusts and foundations
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships, particularly in dispersed and multi-functional teams and with external stakeholders
  • The ability to access new opportunities and develop mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Experience researching grant opportunities, as well as creating tools and resources to support bid applications
  • Experience and confidence in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The successful candidate will be suitably experienced, flexible and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills, you’ll be highly motivated, innovative and driven to ensure suitable funding is gained for MSV’s community projects. You’ll also be team focused with the ability to communicate with colleagues, customers, partners and external agencies in line with our high performance culture and the ‘MSV Way’.
