London, Greater London
Unremunerated (reasonable travel expenses paid)
Voluntary
Job description
  • Will you share your communications expertise with a cutting edge charity protecting the rights of everyone affected by HIV?

NAT is the UK's charity dedicated to transforming society's response to HIV.  We provide fresh thinking, expertise and practical resources. We champion the rights of people living with HIV and campaign for change.

NAT has an excellent track record of successfully influencing legislation and national policies which affect people living with HIV in the UK. Our organisation is credible, influential, financially stable and effective.

We are now seeking a new Trustee with senior communications expertise and contacts expertise to join our Board of Trustees, as well as the Fundraising Sub-Committee.

If you are a strategic and independent thinker with excellent judgement, with communications skills and an understanding of the charity sector we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applications both from those with and those without knowledge of HIV, to complement a Board which already has this expertise.

NAT is a UK wide organisation but the majority of Board business is conducted at the London office. The time commitment is to attend 8 meetings a year, one away day, and reasonable availability to support staff with ad hoc advice. The position is unremunerated but we pay reasonable travel expenses.

Closing date: Monday 24 February 2020 (9am)

Interviews: to be confirmed

The application pack documents can be downloaded from the NAT website, or by sending an e-mail quoting the job title, together with your name and address, or by calling the NAT office. All materials are available in alternative formats upon request.

NAT is committed to equality and diversity and encourages applications from people living with HIV, gay and bisexual men, trans and non-binary people, and people from black and minority ethnic communities.
We welcome applications from disabled people and are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
